When wet and windy weather draws in, it's a good idea to protect your garden furniture - whether it be garden benches, garden tables or swing seats. This will help it keep its looks for longer.

Wood Garden Furniture Care:

Hardwood is a higher quality material compared to softwood which requires a different treatment. Acacia and teak furniture is naturally more durable than softwoods, such as pine, due to its high oil content.

Clean with a wet cloth or soft-bristled brush and soapy water at least once a year. We recommend cleaning in the autumn, before the colder months arrive.

Maintain the natural colour of the wood by applying a wood treatment, such as teak oil or clear oil, to prevent oxidation.

Storing hardwood garden furniture is simple as it can stay outdoors all year round, however we do offer tailor fitted covers for some of our wood furniture.

Wicker Garden Furniture Care:

We recommend cleaning the furniture without the cushions at least once a year. Brush the furniture down to remove leaves and debris. Use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth to wipe dirt away. Rinse all soapy water off and leave to dry.

Synthetic wicker is safe to leave outdoors all year round (excluding cushions), however we do recommend using one of our tailor fitted protective covers for the winter months. This will prevent UV damage and will direct water away from your furniture.
